Telx Technologies introduced the first crypto SIM card wallet that enables transactions via SMS.
According to the company's Medium post published on 22nd August 2019, the sim card enables customers around the world to send cryptocurrency transactions via SMS. Important thing to notice is that people do not required smart phone, internet connection, app or long wallet address’s. They can use ordinary mobile phones because the Telx SIM card
works in any cellular connected device, whether that be an ordinary phone or smart phone.
The sim card is working over 180 countries, covering almost all the countries across the globe leaving some countries in Africa and Asia. According to Telx, they are still working on development in some of the major countries.
Telx Sim card allows unlimited SMS messaging and it supports Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), DASH, Zcash (ZEC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). Telx phone number acts as digital currency address. People are able to send SMS to any phone number to execute cryptocurrency transactions. Company is offering the sim card for $17.
In the past, We all have heard lots of cases of sim swapping which led to cryptocurrency wallets hacked. For security, the company claims to prevent sim swapping and phone number porting and only transactions coming from your SIM will be accepted. Outgoing transactions are protected by a user chosen PIN number. Backup keys will be provided after activation in case of loss or theft.
