One of the biggest cryptocurrency exchange, Coinbase has launched Coinbase Card. Now, United Kingdom customers can pay in shops and online with cryptocurrency. This news was announced in a blog post published on April 10 by Coinbase.
It is a Visa debit card attached to customers’ Coinbase account crypto balances, which allows its users to make purchases with digital currencies worldwide. According to the mechanism, Coinbase instantly converts customers' cryptocurrency funds into local fiat currency in order to complete the purchase.
Coinbase also released an App for iOS and Android for this card , which links its users to Coinbase accounts with the app and allows them to choose a particular wallet to fund their Coinbase Card. In the app, you will also be able to access receipts, transaction summaries, spending categories, and other features. The card supports all digital assets available to purchase and sell on the Coinbase crypto exchange.
The Coinbase card is authorized and regulated as an electronic money by institution Paysafe Financial Services Limited. At present, Coinbase Card is available in the U.K., however Coinbase also planning to launch for other European countries in future.
