Binance Planning to Launch ‘Venus’ to Compete Facebook’s Libra

World's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance is launching its independent blockchain project "Venus" to compete Libra.

Binance has made an announcement today on August 2019, it is going to launch Venus coin because Binance has its presence in several countries and also has its own blockchain called Binance Chain. Binance believes that it will break the financial hegemony and reshape the world’s financial system with stable coin Venus. Binance is looking for partnerships with governments, corporations, technology firms, and other cryptocurrency and blockchain projects in order to develop a new currency ecosystem that will help developed and developing countries together.

According to the announcement, Venus is an open blockchain project to develop local stable cryptocurrency and digital assets pegged to fiat currencies. Binance will provide full-process technical support, compliance risk control system and multi-dimensional cooperation network to make Venus, and it will take advantage of its existing infrastructure and regulatory establishments.
