Cryptocurrency wallet and exchange app Abra has started selling crypto for cash at all 7-Eleven stores in the Philippines with a new partnership with ECPay.
Abra is a financial services and technology company that operates an all-in-one cryptocurrency wallet and exchange app. The Abra app is available on both iOS and Android platforms and allows users to buy, sell and hold up to 25 cryptocurrencies and 50 fiat currencies in one place.
On September 18, Abra announced that a partnership with ECPay would bring cryptocurrencies to 6,000 retail outlets across the Philippines that also includes all 7-Eleven stores. According to the company, this partnership will provide cryptocurrency to end users in an easy way.
“Using new digital tools that open up financial access shouldn’t be hard. And they shouldn’t be complicated. Moving cash to crypto and other digital assets should be simple and fast. That’s why we are really excited to announce our new partnership.”
Consumers in the Philippines will be able to purchase cryptocurrencies with the help of the Abra app. Abra is listed under the "bill payment" option at any ECPay financial services kiosk or in a dedicated mobile app. Then consumers can deposit money in their Abra wallet. Cryptocurrency will be credited within 1-2 business days after confirming the transaction (excluding weekends and holidays).
